New Century Singers is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3, voluntary, community-based chorus.

The chorus is led by Elaine B. Kirkland, Conductor and Artistic Director.

Formed in September 1995; first concert November 1995.

Make-up: Members and friends of the lesbian and gay community of Long Island.

36 members, mostly career professionals.

Repertory: Sacred music including classical, early American, spirituals, contemporary, chants, rounds and antiphons.

Performs two major concerts a year, plus additional vespers services, services of celebration and fund raisers.

Rehearse weekly at Mt. Sinai Congregational United Church of Christ, North Country Rd., Mt. Sinai, Long Island.

Supported by a board of directors.
